Hybrid Cars vs. Intelligent Cars

While reading through the different posts and articles on slashdot I came across a post that dealt with Hybrid Cars vs. Intelligent Cars. More specifically about how certain cars save more energy than others. Supposedly they are classifying an intelligent car as a car that uses some kind of sensor to detect traffic, in order for the car to brake, which will ultimately save more fossil fuels. When the hybrid car was brought into the world, it could sense backed up traffic or a red light up to sixty seconds that it took for the car to get there, so that it could shut off its jets. Now with this newly manufactured car known as the Intelligent car, one can save up to 33 percent more on gas because the new sensors can see almost 180 seconds ahead. This is very interesting to me because it seemed as if hybrid cars were going to be the wave of the future, with gas prices rising so high lately. SEO by the SEA

During class that took place on April 30, we had a guest speaker by the name of Bill come in and talk to us about SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Bill started a web site that goes by the title of SEO by the SEA. He named it that while working for another marketing company that was headquarted by the Chesapeake Bay. He said that the bay had reminded of the Sea, and it had a better ring to it. Although Search Engine Optimization can be interpreted in many different ways by people that deal with online advertising and marketing techniques, what i got from the presentation was that it helps either small or large companies websites show up higher than other relevant sites on different searh engines. So basically, Bill is employed to help alter or work on and utilize important parts of different companies websites that will help their web page score higher, which will have an end result of the page showing up much higher when searched for. What this does for companies is help them get more viewers of their sites. It seems to be a very strong advertising and marketing tool in this day and age of the net.
I guess because it is a term that can be interpreted in a variety of ways, than it is hard to put a final definition on it, but all in all I thought it was an interesting presentation, especially because the speaker had such little time to prepare. CHELSEA FC

I figured it has been a while since my last wiki update, so I made an attempt to update the article dealing with one of the most talented professional club teams that world has ever known, an FA premier league team, Chelsea FC. I added to the very end of the history sub-topic that Chelsea is currently 2nd in points to their long time rival Manchester United. I also stated that Chelsea is set to play another FA premier league rival Liverpool on Wed, April 25, 2007 in the first leg of the Champions league semi-final round. My personal pick to win that semi-final round battle is Liverpool because they are playing out of their minds right now, tearing through the Champions league elimination round. I also believe that Manchester United will take down AC Milan, the only team left in the Champions league that is not from the FA premier league. Brazilian native, and Milan keeper Dida is not expected to make the trip to United tomorrow because of a shoulder injury. STIUQXELA

In 477, we are doing a most interesting experiment where we are checking the search results for the word stiuqxela.
One of the more interesting things about this experiment is that it brings you to a team that has been down in the dumps over the past couple of years. Sadly, one of my favorite athletes of all-time recently passed away a couple years ago. When i was 10 years old, I broke my arm and my dad had taken me to see the good ole Eagles in training camp. After the day was over, the infamous Reggie White signed my cast and I still have it to this day. If you can't guess what terrible American Football team this is now, you must not know much about sports.

UCLA and GTOWN FALL

After viewing my team mate Steve Ward's blog, I decided that we both needed to re-evaluate the teams we were routing for in the men's ncaa tournament of 07. Unfortunately both of our teams fell yesterday in the final four, gtown to ohio state, and ucla to florida. I just wanted to comment on Steve's great picks up until yesterday, because i myself had both georgetown and ucla playing against one another in the finals. Despite our great efforts, we could not come up with a "W" yesterday. Cheers to you Steve, and keep up the good work.

Viacom vs. Google/YouTube

After reading the article, Viacom suing Google and YouTube for 1$ Billion, I just wanted to talk a little about what the article dealt with and my own thoughts on the article. The case is said to primarily deal with issues of free speech and rights of physical and intellectual property. Does google have the right to generate a profit through advertising? I certainly believe they do. As posted by shell, Google has said to be preparing for a lawsuit of this kind from the very day they purchased YouTube. This could absolutely become a landmark case for the ages. I'm extremely interested to see how the law is interpreted and whether it is going to favor Google or not. One can only pray that Google will somehow prevail, because in my opinion YouTube is one of the greatest things developed since pizza. I'm hoping to uncover information that will provide a lot more detail pertaining to this topic so as always, stay tuned..

I decided to take a stab at editing Barry Bonds profile on wikipedia and so far was successful. I was reading an article about his high school athletic career and just decided to make an adjustment under his high school career by mentioning that he was drafted after his senior year by the Giants, but instead decided to go to college at Arizona State Univeristy.
